PHILOSOPHY
We believe that we can pursue, strive and achieve our higher calling in Christ through athletics. We believe that exercising the fruits of the Spirit through sports participation will enable us to not only grow in our personal walk with Jesus, but also to build each other up in the body of Christ as well as be a light to share the good news of the gift of salvation.

PHYSICALS
So that we are in accordance with PIAA rules, all participating athletes in any program will be required to have a current physical prior to the first day of practice or participation. While only one physical will be necessary in the event you will participate in two or more sports, this physical shall not be performed prior to July 1, 2009.

NO ATHLETE MAY PRACTICE OR PARTICIPATE IN ANY COMPETITION THROUGH ERIE FIRST CHRISTIAN ACADEMY WITHOUT A PHYSICAL ON FILE WITH THE ATHLETIC DIRECTOR.

PLEASE COMPLETE AND SUBMIT PARTICIPANT’S APPLICATION TO SCHOOL OFFICE ASAP IN ORDER FOR US TO PREPARE FOR  NUMBERS OF ATHLETES AND TEAMS.

ALL PARTICIPANTS ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE REVIEWED AND AGREED WITH SIGNATURE TO THE RULES AND POLICIES  FOR EFCA ATHLETICS POLICIES MANUAL AVAILABLE IN SCHOOL OFFICE.

HOMESCHOOLERS may participate in EFCA Athletics this year by applying personally ONLY through the Athletic Director. We request that those interested in participating already have had team play experience. All fees for homeschooled students are $75 for 3-4th grade level, $100.00 for Junior High Level (5-7th grade) and $150.00 for JV and Varsity Level (8th-12th grade) sports .

Please note that Pennsylvania Charter School Students are not eligible to participate as homeschoolers since they have the opportunity to partake in athletics for their home district.

GYM LOCKER RENTALS will be available to all Varsity athletes ONLY for a $10.00 annual rental fee. You may include this fee along with your registration or you may wait until try-outs are over to rent a locker in the gym locker room. Upon payment you will be assigned a locker that may be used for the 2009-2010 school year. Any lockers not rented with locks on will be removed.
