Concert Begins Monday May 7th 7pm
Students arrive 6:30pm in the Kids Chapel

We are excited for this year’s upper school Spring Evening with the Arts. Each grade group will be performing a movement or song that they have been working on this spring. There will also be an art show displaying the students’ artwork following the concert. Refreshments will be available. Here is just some general information about what students are to wear and what time they are to show up on that Monday night.

Dress:

6th Graders —Jeans bottoms and Black tops. There is no particular shade, but please use solid colors (no logos). Black shoes are to accompany the outfit. They will be doing a dance so it would be best if they wore sneakers. If they do not own black sneakers are preferable.

7th / & 8th Graders — All black clothing (long sleeve shirts, pants, and socks)! Does NOT need to be dressy. It may be better, in fact, if they wore sweat pants and a flexible shirt. The kids will be moving around a bit and need to have flexible clothing. The black color is important because they will be under a black light and need to be hidden. The only parts visible will be the white gloves they wear. So please no makeup, jewelry, or black shirts with additional coloring. We only want their hands to be visible under the black lighting.

White Gloves: 7th and 8th Grade Students are doing a black light mime and will need white gloves that will glow under a black light. Party City (1922 Keystone Drive, Erie (814) 8662233) sells them. Not all white gloves glow in the black light, please be sure to purchase those that do.

High School — High School students are to wear all black attire (shirts and pants). NO DRESSES they will be doing a variety of things, including a movement. They will need to be dressed well, but still comfortable enough to move around.

Rehearsal:

Students will arrive on Wednesday May 2nd immediately after school and meet in the Music room. Please plan to begin at 3:15 pm. At this time students will receive instruction on the concert flow and order of events. We will be done by 4:15pm.

Thanks so much for all your support! We look forward to seeing you there!

I want to take just a few minutes that night and share with you the results of the Parent survey and introduce you to our school board.
